Notice of Your Rights Under the No Surprises Act
Effective January 1, 2022
Under federal law, you have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychotherapy, and other mental health services. You must receive your estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service if scheduled in advance, if requested. If you receive a bill that is $400 or more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can initiate a Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
